The Parkbrook -Bar & Grill-
If you’re on the hunt for a warm, welcoming place in Walsall to enjoy hearty British classics and a buzzing pub atmosphere, The Parkbrook -Bar & Grill- is where you want to be. Tucked away at 434 Wolverhampton Rd, Walsall WS2 8RJ, this local gem doesn’t just serve food-it serves memories on a plate. From sizzling steaks to old-school comfort dishes, it’s become a firm favourite for both locals and visitors alike.
Let’s get straight to the good stuff: the food. If you’re craving a proper Sunday Roast, The Parkbrook doesn’t disappoint. Think tender slices of meat, crispy roast potatoes, seasonal veg, and Yorkshire puds swimming in rich gravy-simple, satisfying, and soul-warming. Their Traditional Roast is one of the stars of the menu, and honestly, you’d be missing out if you didn’t give it a try on your next Sunday stop.
But that’s just scratching the surface. Meat lovers rave about the 16oz T-Bone Steak and the Mega Mixed Grill-a feast that’s more of a challenge than a meal. If you’re a fan of pork, the Porter House Pork Chop or Pork Chop with Chips offers juicy, smoky flavour with every bite. Want something classic and comforting? The Liver and Bacon with Mash is nostalgic British fare done right.
Seafood fans aren’t left out either. The Fish Platter is a standout, especially when paired with a glass of chilled white wine from their impressive wine list. Or if you're feeling retro, a Prawn Cocktail will hit that nostalgic sweet spot. And for those who prefer a plant-based option, they’ve also got a growing range of vegan and vegetarian dishes to choose from, including healthy options and small plates if you just fancy a light bite.
Now let’s talk desserts. You know that comforting feeling when you dig into a warm sponge pudding? That’s exactly what you get with their Treacle Sponge with Custard-sweet, sticky, and downright addictive. If you're after something cooler, the Raspberry Sundae hits all the right notes.
Of course, a bar and grill is only as good as its drinks-and The Parkbrook shines here too. From a great beer selection on tap to craft cocktails, spirits, and Irish Coffee to wind down your evening, you’re covered. And don’t skip their great tea and espresso options-perfect for a midday pick-me-up.
What really sets The Parkbrook -Bar & Grill- apart though, is the atmosphere. It’s got that rare mix of cozy and lively. The fireplace adds a lovely touch, especially during colder months, while the live music and performances throughout the week bring an energy that keeps people coming back. It’s a go-to spot for both lunch and dinner, and also a solid pick for solo diners looking for a relaxed space to unwind.
Accessibility? They’ve thought of that too. The Parkbrook offers a wheelchair-accessible entrance, car park, seating, and toilet, making sure everyone can enjoy a visit without hassle. It’s also got outdoor seating-great when the UK weather decides to play nice. Prefer to eat at home? They’ve got a takeaway option, though note there’s no delivery service, so you’ll need to swing by and grab your meal.
And just to top it off, The Parkbrook has that down-to-earth charm you only find in proper local spots. The staff are friendly, service is quick, and whether you’re popping in for a quick pint or making a night of it with the family, there’s a sense that you’re always welcome.
So if you’re after bold flavours, generous portions, a great pint, or just a laid-back place to catch some live music with friends, The Parkbrook -Bar & Grill- is absolutely worth a visit.
Reviews
We wanted to make the most of being able to have some time together without the little ones, we visited here and wasn't disappointed at all! Brilliant staff, so kind and talkative, food was amazing!! Tasty, and homemade, you could tell they take pride in what they are serving and not just like the chain restaurants out there. Prices were good too, we had so much to choose from on the menu. We will definitely be returning, it may not look the best from the outside, however please don't let this put you off. This is a traditional restaurant that requires a visit, amazing!! Thank you to all your lovely, smiling staff, too!

We pre booked for a gathering of friends that did extend by a few. The alterations was freely extended and fully facilitated. The food was delicious, beautifully severed with exceptional service. Absolutely recommend a visit and will return again. The cost, exeptional value. Thank you as extremely well managed from start to finish.
Look no further if you're in the area. It's our go-to restaurant when we are visiting family nearby. Fabulous home cooked food, with quality ingredients, served with great service and warm friendly staff. Warm yourself by the log fire on arrival. It's a little gem that is so easily overlooked when driving by. It also has a great variety on the children's and vegetarian menus.
